This application is for students whose parent is on a valid Work or Study Permit.

A student living in British Columbia (BC) with his or her parent (also legal guardian, hereafter listed as ‘parent’) who holds a Work Permit or Study Permit might be eligible for ministry-funded education if the parent meets the criteria set out by Langley School District.

Funding Eligibility

To qualify for a funded education as a parent on a work/study permit:

• You must live in Langley.

If you hold a work permit:

• The work permit must be valid for a year or more.
• You must be employed for a minimum of 20 hours per week.

If you hold a study permit:

• The study permit must be valid for a year or more.
• You must be studying in a degree or diploma granting program at a public post-secondary institution or studying in a degree granting program at a private post-secondary institution authorized by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education.

This online application can take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete. You will be able to save your progress and return to the application later. You have 7 days to complete the application from the day you started. If you have multiple children that you wish to register, you must submit one application for each child.

Completed applications may take 5-10 business days to be reviewed. Once your documents have been approved, you will receive an email with next steps.
