Qualicum International Student Program will only accept complete applications using our secure online application system.

• Please click on "Create Account"to begin the process. 
• When filling out the application it is important that you provide full and detailed answers.  
• Complete the online host family application form BEFORE getting a criminal record check.

Before you begin the online application process, please make sure you have collected all the necessary information and documents.

• Applicant must be 25 years of age or older.
• Required and recommended photos must be submitted as JPEG files only and less than 5MB each. If any document is larger than 5MB, it has been scanned at too high a resolution and must be rescanned at a lower resolution before beginning the application process. We require a photo of your family, a photo of the main living area of the home and a photo of the main living space.

After your application has been approved and we have set up a home visit, we will also require a Criminal Record Check from any adult, aged 18 or older, living in the home or living in a suite or rental on your property. Click here for information about obtaining your CRC Online.   Online CRC's will be sent directly to us, otherwise you will need to pick up at the RCMP and bring them to us.  CRC’s may be dropped off at our office located at 502 Bay Avenue, Parksville.  

 

Once your application has been completed and reviewed by our department, a homestay coordinator will contact you to set up a visit to your home.
