Before you begin

 

Educatius Canada accepts complete applications using our secure online application system. 

 

Before you begin the online application process, please make sure you have collected all the necessary information and documents. You will need the applicant’s complete information and at least one parent’s complete information. This includes names, birthdates, addresses, etc. Required and recommended documents (see below) must be submitted as PDF or JPEG files only and less than 5MB each. If any document is larger than 5MB, it has been scanned at too high a resolution and must be rescanned at a lower resolution before beginning the application process.

 

Required documents

 

In order to submit an application, the three documents listed below are required. If you do not upload these documents into the online application system, you cannot complete the application process. If you do not submit a complete application within seven (7) days, the partial application will be automatically deleted.

 

1. Legal agreement. The parent(s) listed on the application must sign our agreement. Before starting the application process, please download the Homestay Family Letter of Agreement, have it signed in ink, and scanned as a PDF or JPEG file only.
2. Criminal Record Check- Please download the Criminal Record Check Disclosure Request, please complete and take to your local police detachment, once complete, scan as a PDF or JPEG file only.
3. Host Family Letter - please write a letter introducing your family and whatyour interests are. It will help the students get a better feel for who you are, once complete, scan as a PDF or JPEG file only.
4. Direct Deposit Form or a copy of a void cheque, once complete, scan as a PDF or JPEG file only.
5. Pictures of each student's bedroom (if two students are sharing a room, please provide a picture the shows the size and adequate space for two students). Please also include a picture of your kitchen, living room space, bathroom, the outside of your home and a warm and welcoming photo of your family. Please make sure the pictures are free of clutter (think real estate type picture) featuring your home when it is tidy. These pictures really help the students and thier natural parents to get a good feel of the home prior to arrival.
