Application Instructions - District School Board of Niagara
Thank you for your interest in applying to study at the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN)!
Application Deadlines:
- For September entry: May 31
- For February entry: November 30
Before you begin
District School Board of Niagara will only accept complete applications using our secure online application system. Mailed, emailed, or faxed applications are no longer accepted. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Before you begin the online application process, please make sure you have collected all the necessary information and documents. You will need the applicant’s complete information and at least one parent’s complete information. This includes names, birthdates, addresses, etc. Required and recommended documents (see below) must be submitted as PDF or JPEG files only and less than 5MB each. If any document is larger than 5MB, it has been scanned at too high a resolution and must be rescanned at a lower resolution before beginning the application process.
The application fee is $250 CAD for new students or $150 CAD for returning students and is non-refundable.

Required documents
In order to submit an application, the documents listed below are required. If you do not upload these documents into the online application system, you cannot complete the application process. If you do not submit a complete application within thirty (30) days, the partial application will be automatically deleted.
For all students:
- Student Participation Agreement Package. The parent(s) of the application must sign our agreement package. Please have it signed in ink, and scanned as a PDF or JPEG file only.
For new secondary students only:
- Transcripts or report cards. Official transcripts/school records in English for the current and previous year (if translated by yourself, must be notarized) must be uploaded. Transcripts or report cards must be in PDF or JPEG files only, and less than 5MB in size. You will only beable to upload one document, so please ensure all pages of the records of grades are scanned as a single document.
The DSBN reserves the right to refuse any application, at its sole discretion.
