Spaces in the International Student Program are limited. This application is for NEW applications only. Returning students do not apply.
Before you begin
The Edmonton Catholic Schools Division will only accept complete applications using our secure online application system. Mailed, emailed or incomplete applications will not be processed.
Before you begin the online application process, please make sure you have collected all the documents. You will need the applicant’s complete information and at least one parent’s complete information. This includes names, birthdates, addresses, etc. Required and recommended documents (see below) must be submitted as PDF or JPEG files only and less than 15MB each. If any document is larger than 15MB, it has been scanned at too high a resolution and must be rescanned at a lower resolution before beginning the application process.
The application fee is $300 CAD (NEW STUDENTS ONLY) and is due at the time of application using the Flywire link in the Secure Payment section. The application fee is non-refundable.
Required documents
In order to submit an application, the four documents listed below are required. If you do not upload these documents into the online application system, you cannot complete the application process. If you do not submit a complete application within thirty (30) days, the partial application will be automatically deleted.
- Valid Passport (photo page). Please scan the passport photo page of the applicant's passport.
- Transcripts or report cards. Record of grades for the last two (2) years, translated into English, in PDF or JPEG files, and less than 15MB in size. You will only be able to upload one document- ensure all pages of the records of grades are scanned as a single document.
- Student Birth Certificate
- Student/Parent Consent Agreement. The parent(s) of the applicant must sign this agreement. Before starting the application process, download the agreement, have it signed in ink, and scanned as a PDF or JPEG file only.
Documents Required to be Uploaded in True North Prior to Arrival in Canada
The following documents are required to be uploaded in the True North Portal before the student’s arrival in Canada. They must be submitted as single documents in PDF or JPEG files only and less than 5MB each.
- Notarized Custodian and Parent/Guardian Custodial Documents. If the applicant will not be part of the Canada Homestay Network (CHN) program, or not arriving with a parent, they must assign a custodian. This custodian must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, over 25 years old, and must live full time in the Edmonton area.
- If a student is arriving and living with their natural parents, the parent’s passport, visitor visa and proof of address in Edmonton (i.e. rental agreement).
