BEFORE YOU BEGIN

 

Chinook's Edge will only accept complete applications submitted through our secure online application system. Mailed, emailed, or faxed applications are no longer accepted. Incomplete or unpaid applications will not be processed.

 

Before you begin the online application process, please ensure you have collected all the necessary information and documents. You will need the applicant's complete information, as well as the parent's or guardian's complete information, including names, birthdates, addresses, and other required details.

 

All required and recommended documents (listed below) must be uploaded as PDF or JPEG files only and must be less than 15 MB each. If a document is larger than 15 MB, it was likely scanned at too high a resolution and must be rescanned at a lower resolution before beginning the application process.

 

ADMISSION DOCUMENTS

 

Please have the following documents ready to upload during the application process:

1. A copy of the student's passport photo page.
2. Transcripts showing the student's achieved marks for the past two consecutive years (in English).
3. One Letter of Reference. Please have a teacher, school counsellor, or headmaster/principal write a letter of recommendation for the applicant. The letter should be on school letterhead and highlight the student's strengths. If the letter is longer than one page, please scan all pages as a single document.
4. Vaccination Records. Please scan all immunization records relevant to the student's medical history as a single document.
5. Custodianship Document. If the student will not be participating in our homestay program, they must appoint a custodian. The custodian must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, at least 25 years of age, and reside full-time within the Chinook's Edge School Division boundaries.
6. A photo of the student's face.
7. Letter of Introduction. This letter should be written by the student in English and explain why they wish to come to Canada and study at Chinook's Edge. It should also describe their previous studies, interests and hobbies, and future goals. If the letter is longer than one page, please scan all pages as a single document.
   Photo Album. Please provide photos of the student with family and friends. Scan the entire album as a single document.
8. A signed copy of the Chinook's Edge International Student Agreement.
9. A non-refundable application fee of $200.
